Villafranca del Bierzo to Herrerias

Today Judy and I walked the approximately 12 miles to Herrerias, where we met Prudence, who took a cab hours after we left and arrived well before we arrived. We would have been depressed by the inefficiency of our mode of travel if not for the great second scenery the half of the walk.

Along the way we passed the rural posada we stayed in 9 years ago, and which is now several times as expensive. So, we are staying in another albergue in the country side. Not nearly as nice as the one yesterday, it at least is in an area with several restaurants.

Photos: Villafranca cathedral, perregrino (pilgrim) on today's hike,
Small church, sheep questioning what the hell we were doing here (as I do every day), cafe enroute, our albergue for the night.
